Singing the Yellow Bird praise

Groucho Marx said: Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

Yellow Bird, on the other hand, flies because the idea or the Mission, as stated on their website, is a simple, solidly grounded concept based on community and conscientiousness. Oh, and charity. These 3 c’s, coupled with an original finished product are an example of the kind of intelligent change we all keep talking about, but seem to have trouble putting into action. I mean, a t-shirt designed by the guys from The National ? Who can resist ! Oh…and yer giving my money to charity…nice.

Did I mention they’re a Montreal-based, non-profit initiative ?

new apartment

couple of bored-at-home shots from my new apartment.

a mattress was donated to me yesterday, so i finally built my bed, it was a nice change from the inflatable mattress i’d been attempting to sleep on for the past week.

The Photographic Dictionary

“the photographic dictionary is dedicated to defining words through the literal, figurative and personal meanings found in each photograph.”

I got a nice surprise today. This photograph of mine was chosen to represent the word Pear in what is becoming an interesting new project. Take a couple of minutes to browse through the whole thing, it’s well worth it !

Dummer

“In the present time of environmental urgency, catastrophic wars, soaring gas prices and economic gloom, can there be a car more senseless, unintelligent and offensive than Hummer? When I see someone driving a Hummer, I can almost hear: “HEY, LOOK AT MY DICK. AND BTW, I’M RICH AND FUCK YOU AND YOUR ENVIRONMENT!” So, here’s a small way to get back at them:

Introducing the all-new Dummer. The next time you see a Hummer, tag the logo and turn into a Dummer.”

- Ji Lee

Ji Lee is so much more than awesome. Go to his website, you can spend hours there and have many of those moments where you think to yourself: “fuck, why didn’t I think of that !” Make sure you find his business card, it’s well worth looking for.
