enRoute, May 2012
I spent 5 wonderful days in september 2011 exploring the Magdalen Islands for enRoute magazine. Les Îles de la Madeleine, as they are known in french, are known for their incredibly hospitable residents and I found out that this was no stereotype, it is simply a way of life. People literally invited me into their home and into their lives. The toughest part of this assignment was to avoid making a postcard out of every photograph. That and having to leave.
